Pehqiyal tutemisqiyil ktahkomiq
(welcome friend to my world)
My Name is Joe, Also known as
Qoci Moqwaio or Lone_Wolf.
I have traced my families heritage back to the
Wolastoqiyik - Maliseet nation from which my great grands were part of till the early 1820's when they migrated to Rhode Island.
According to my cultural beliefs I have been given the nic name of Wolf since my spirit seems to fall into this description of the Qoci Moqwaio:
Deeply emotional, and wholly passionate, the Wolf is the lover of the spirit wold in both the physical and philosophical sense of the word. The Wolf understands that all we need is love, and is fully capable of providing it. Juxtaposed (in contrast) with his fierce independence – this Native American animal symbol is a bit of a contradiction in terms. Needing his freedom, yet still being quite gentle and compassionate – we get the picture of the “lone wolf” with this symbol. In a nurturing environment the Wolf is intensely passionate, generous, deeply affectionate, and gentle. Left to his own devices however the Wolf can become impractical, recalcitrant (uncooperative toward authority), obsessive, and vindictive.
With this in mind, two of my greatest enjoyments, along the lines of hobbies, are fine art
photography and making Native American inspired Jewelry, using natural stones, sculpted gems and wire wrap as well as Sterling Silver mounts.
This web site is to show off my Jewelry as well as my photography and the only reason I am offering them (at cost of materials and gas) is to clear room for new pieces as well as pay for my hobbies. Please keep in mind this is my hobby. All the gems/stones I use are natural they are not man made nor are they treated. I wouldn't know how to treat them If I tried.
